Gyakie’s ‘Forever’ at number 3 on Billboard Top Triller Chart. Singer Gyakie’s hit song, ‘Forever’, which propelled her to international fame has officially spent seven weeks on the Billboard Top Triller Global chart. The song is at number three on the chart in the week of April 17. The Afro-Fusion artiste is the first Ghanaian to have a song stay this long on the Billboard chart. ‘Forever’ followers Cardi B’s Up which is at number one and Lecrae and Andy Mineo’s Coming in Hot. Prior to being at number 3, Gyakie’s song was at number 11. The song shot up the chart, something people have attributed to her remix which features Omah Lay. The 21st edition of the  Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA)  is now done and dusted. The awards ceremony, which was a two-day affair took place on Friday, August 28 and Saturday, August 29 at the Grand Arena inside the Accra International Conference Centre. Friday's event was the Industry Awards while Saturday's event was the Public Awards. In all about 30 awards were given out to deserving artistes. Highlife musician Kuami Eugene emerged the overall Artiste of the Year and also won the Highlife Artiste of the Year. Another Highlife musician, Kofi Kinaata won three awards; Songwriter of the Year, Highlife Song of the Year and Most Popular Song of the Year with his hit track  Things Fall Apart .
